From Shanghai to Madrid and Slovenia, Saima creates interest and draws attention at events and competitions.

Award-winning Saima Design -hardwood floors have been selected into the Finnish Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo. The floor of the exhibition level in the appraised Kirnu pavilion has been covered with Saima Classic and Raita -hardwood floor. The hardwood floor which represents unique design, materials and high quality is believed to have demand in the Asian markets.

Saima Wirkkala and Raita models were nominated for the German Design Award 2010.

Saima won the renowned red dot design award with the Wirkkala and Raita
models. Karelia-Upofloor launched new colours along the Saima Classic at the beginning of the year; such as the grey colour originally designed by the
famous Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala. Design Director Pekka Toivanen and a Helsinki-based design company Muotohiomo have participated in the design of the renewed Saima family.

Karelia-Upofloor is launching new colours to the Saima Classic Hardwood Floor family. Saima is the only design hardwood floor, with strong links to the world-famous architects and designers of its native country, Finland.
